This pattern was originally drawn up by my dear Nanny June and quilted by me for the Sydney quilt show 2025 and originally called the scrap thief. This is such a fun quilt to make, from collecting the fabrics to be in the feature squares, focal cutting the little creatures and even playing with colour placement in each block its deftly a fun make, I had an absolute blast quilting the original with custom quilting and adding secondary patterns to really add a new dimension to the quilt however a nice textural edge to edge would also make this quilt truly pop!
 
In this pattern booklet , you get sep by step instructions to make your very own Nans liquorice quilt with coloured diagrams guiding you along the way!

Fabric Requirements ( a more detailed breakdown is contained within the pattern )
Assorted Low Volume Fabrics for Background and Centres ( can be made with fat quarters or 25cm cuts ) 5.2yards / 4.75M x WOF
Charcoal Low Volume Fabric 1.4 yards / 1.2M x WOF
Assorted Bright-Coloured Fabric Squares ( can be wraps too ) 2.3 yards / 2.1M x WOF
 
Other materials 
Along with the fabrics specified, you will need sewing thread, batting, backing fabric, binding materials, and basic quilting supplies: including a sewing machine, rotary cutter, cutting mat, ruler, pins or clips, iron, and preferred basting tools. Choose batting, backing, and binding quantities appropriate to the finished quilt size.
