Hello
Hello! I’m Jackson Cook – a passionate quilter, designer, teacher, fabric lover and founder of House of Jackson. I’m known for my cheeky, larger than life personality & love for colour, A trip to House of Jackson is sure to be an event.
My Story
Born and bred in Armidale NSW, my journey began in 2012, as a 10-year-old asking my Nan to
make me a lumberjack-style hat. Watching her sew sparked a fascination that quickly turned
into passion. After much convincing and determination, she gave me the pattern and before
long, I was making the hats myself.
I started sewing for friends and family and due to popular demand for my hats, by 2014 I was
running a stall at Armidale Markets. Over the next four years, my range expanded to include
pencil cases, tote bags, cushions, and Christmas gifts. Thus, House of Jackson was born.
It was during this time that I discovered patchwork and quilting, and really found my niche. I
love a challenge and honed my skills in a wide range of sewing and quilting techniques including
appliqué, y-seams and curved seams. Since then, I’ve developed my expertise in Free Motion
and Longarm Quilting, investing in my first Longarm Machine in 2021.
More recently I started Jackzon Quilts, a brand to showcase my Fabric and soon to launch
Pattern Designs, focusing on bold and fun prints. With five collections released thus far, I hope
to inspire creativity and whimsy in makers.
Today, through House of Jackson, I offer both Edge-to-Edge and Custom Quilting Longarm
Services. I teach Classes designed to inspire and build confidence. I sell a curated selection of
tools, fabrics, and notions that I personally use and trust, alongside my original creations and
patterns.
Whether you’re looking to finish a quilt, learn a new skill, add to your stash or find inspiration
for your next project, I’m here to help bring your creative vision to life.
